OUR MISSION
The Cilongu Foundation supports educational initiatives in Africa and other developing countries to improve the well-being of people. We support schools in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Zambia, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Liberia. As funding and other resources allow, we plan to expand our efforts throughout Africa.
We believe that education is the great equalizer and paves the way to endless life opportunities and success. Education helps children escape a life of poverty and develop confidence, helping them to become contributing members of the society. Equally important, their families establish a strong bond to their immediate community.
It is our hope to see students graduate from school with skills that prepare them to enter the workforce or develop their own enterprise. Therefore, providing the needed resources helps schools to provide a comprehensive education.

To build hope, opportunity and a sense of community for children and their families by encouraging them to pursue the highest level of education.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Our Organization was created to be a vehicle that supports the values of education through cultural appreciation and competence. At the same time the Cilongo Foundation is fostering the appreciation of cultural differences for privileged and underprivileged families.
Cilongo Foundation believes that it is not enough just to have a vision but it is imperative to act upon that vision. As a result, we have embarked on a mission to support school initiatives in both the US and Africa.
To do justice to this vision, we are supporting schools in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Sierra Leone and in South Africa and plan to expand in the continent.
